Yangon, Myanmar — 22 May 2025
Shwe Than Lwin Group (STL Group) is pleased to share a meaningful update on its ongoing earthquake relief mission—surpassing 2 million meals delivered to families and individuals affected by the recent seismic disasters across Myanmar.
This milestone reflects not only the scale of the need, but also the scale of our response. What began as an immediate action to distribute 40,000 food boxes has grown into a sustained, coordinated relief effort, driven by the strength of our people and partnerships.
Mobilizing Across Regions and Divisions Since March 31, teams from across STL Group including Sky Net, SHWE Bank, MO Money, Mandala, and more business units have worked hand in hand with local volunteers to reach some of the most vulnerable areas. Distribution efforts have focused on critical zones such as Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, and the Sagaing Region, extending across townships and rural communities where support is urgently needed.
A Holistic Response to Humanitarian Need While food assistance remains a key pillar of our program, STL Group has expanded its relief scope to address the broader needs of displaced families. Our ongoing initiatives now include:
· Clean water supply to prevent waterborne illnesses
· Medical support and essential supplies for emergency health needs
· Hygiene kits to promote cleanliness and reduce health risks
· Portable sanitation units to improve shelter conditions
Powered by People and Purpose, this achievement has been made possible by the dedication of our employees, the generosity of our partners, and the resilience of our communities. Every meal served is a symbol of shared humanity, and every initiative launched is a step toward rebuilding lives.
As Myanmar moves forward on its path to recovery, STL Group reaffirms its commitment to meaningful, long-term support ensuring no one is left behind.
