Shwe Than Lwin Group Continues Crucial Support for Flood-Affected Communities

In the wake of severe floods triggered by Typhoon Yagi, which caused significant damage across various parts of Myanmar, the Shwe Than Lwin Group has mobilised to provide critical support to affected communities. Typhoon Yagi struck several Southeast Asian countries in mid-September, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake, including extensive flooding in Myanmar.

The Group, including the Sky Net and SHWE Bank family, continues to carry out crucial support for people who need food in some flood-affected townships in Myanmar.

On September 15th and 16th, the Shwe Than Lwin Group—along with SKY NET and SHWE BANK—donated 20,000 food packages to those in need in the flood-stricken areas of Pyinmana, Lewe, Tatkone, and Zeyar Thiri Townships.

The Group is committed to continuing food donations to ensure that families at flood relief centres receive the aid they need.

We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by these floods and feel it is our duty to support our communities during these challenging times. We hope that our contributions can provide some relief to those who have been impacted.

— Shwe Than Lwin Group Spokesperson

As relief efforts continue, the Group remains steadfast in its commitment to community support, aiming to make a meaningful impact on those affected by natural disasters.
